BoringWire

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026
Last updated: November 4, 2026

BoringWire ("the App", "we", "us") provides secure network tunnels using the WireGuard® protocol. This policy explains what information the App handles and what we do (and don't do) with it.

Summary

Information you provide

To set up a tunnel, you enter or import configuration details such as keys, addresses, and server endpoints. This information is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Network traffic

When a tunnel is active, your network traffic is sent directly to the server (peer) you configured. We do not operate those servers and have no access to the traffic passing through them. The privacy practices of any VPN server you connect to are governed by whoever operates it.

Third parties

The App does not include third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, or advertising. If you download the App through an app store, that store may collect information under its own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Because the App does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to keep it current, accurate, and clear. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
